A journey to find our tracers left behind

I think David Gilmore summed it all up in Quote:
"And you run and you run to catch up with the sun,
but its sinking
And racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in the relative way,
but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death"
I sang that verse a thousand times or so as a young man and never put any thought in the the profound meaning of it. Now as I grow older I find it laughing back with out making an audible sound to anyone out side my head. It's trying to chase the past like the light you left in your wake, Embers floating softly to the sky...
